Part 2 - The BIM Interoperability Tools COBie Extension

This online course will guide attendees through the initial steps required to implement BIM and Information Management to understand what digital deliverables clients are now demanding at handover. So, what is COBie/IFC? What is Information Management? Will this change the way we work? This training will help answer these questions for you.

The Aim:
To deliver models that are fit for the client’s requirements, we need designers and the wider supply chain to structure data in a specific way. Our online course delivered either Live or via our pre-recorded videos, has been developed as a guide for implementing a data management workflow in alignment with the projects Asset Management’s requirements i.e. COBie. We will run through all the setup and mapping processes required during the design stages.

Graham H. Stewart, is a director specializing in BIM Strategy & Implementation with 35 years’ experience in AEC including over 25 years’ experience using various BIM platforms. A Technician member of both the Institution of Civil Engineers & the Institution of Structural Engineers with an MSc in BIM Management, based in Glasgow, Scotland.

In 2017, Graham founded Digital Guerrilla Consultancy Ltd, Scotland’s 1st Digital Information Management Consultancy, with the aim to ensure their client’s use of digital technologies is improved through training, education, and support to gain efficiencies and better business outcomes throughout the design process.

Graham is also an Associate Tutor and part of the Associate Consultancy Programme at BSI delivering their BIM training courses across the UK and a part-time lecture at Glasgow Caledonian University.
