Who must take this training?

Any workers who are or will be exposed to cadmium at the action level of 2.5 micrograms of cadmium per cubic meter of air calculated as an 8-hour time-weighted average must be given cadmium exposure training. Training is required prior to or at the time of the initial work assignment, and at least annually after that. Employers must keep a record of certification for one year from the date of certification.

How often is retraining or recertification required?

Training shall be provided prior to or at the time of initial assignment to a job involving potential exposure to cadmium and at least annually thereafter.

What are the governing regulations?

This online course satisfies the training requirements for the Cal/OSHA Title 8 CCR, Section 5207 General Industry, and Section 1532 Construction Industry Cadmium Standard.
