Basics of Surface Modeling

This basic course introduces learners new to MicroStation in 3D to various tools of Surface Modeling. The course covers different concepts of surface modeling, such as surface by plane or edge, construct by corner, by points, and by network of curves. Learners will learn how to use the loft surface tool through methods including loft by surface, loft surface by vertices, and loft surface by transition.

The course explains how to create surfaces from a profile using the extrusion tool along and sweep surface. It also teaches how to use the revolve surface tool and helix tools. Additionally, the course focuses on surface modification tools such as trim surface, fillet, split, and stitch surface, as well as combining multiple disjointed surfaces into one uniform surface.

Duration: 45m
