Working with 3D Content in Autodesk VRED

This course covers the fundamentals of working with 3D content in VRED, including understanding the scenegraph, importing models, organizing scenes, and basic geometry processing.

You will start with the ScenegraphVRED’s scene hierarchy tool, learning how to navigate, select, and organize nodes. From there, you will explore the full file import workflow: multiple 3D formats, import settings, tessellation, and how materials transfer on import.

The course then covers scene organization through grouping, transforms, and duplication strategies, before finishing with basic geometry processing: node types, splitting and merging, and preparing models for visualization.

By the end, you will be able to import, organize, and prepare complex 3D models for a VRED project.
