Title

This comprehensive course provides an in-depth guide to modeling, analyzing, and interpreting results of Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) pipe using PLAXIS software.

In this course, learners will become familiar with the fundamentals of modeling GRP pipes using PLAXIS 2D. Starting from an introductory overview of GRP pipe modeling, participants will proceed with detailed practical exercises including pipe geometry creation through the Tunnel Designer, setting appropriate construction sequences, and conducting detailed numerical analyses. Learners will examine modeling approaches using both beam and volume elements, explore corrections and enhancements of model setups, and delve into advanced scenarios such as sliding-in pipe analyses.

By the end of this module, participants will be able to confidently set up, run, and interpret PLAXIS 2D simulations involving GRP pipes.
