What is VisionLidar365?

VL365 enables you to share your point cloud projects with your community and thus maximize the value of your work. Bundle your lidar scans from different file formats by using VL365 Creation and publish them with our simple and intuitive dashboard interface. Locate your projects by using our map interface, visualize your spherical images jointly with your point cloud data or add a volumetric 3D model to your views to analyze new layouts, are just a few examples of the power of VL 365 solution. Now enhanced with comprehensive production tools such as measurement, vectorization (point, polylines, polygons), or section analysis (Cross-Sections, Profiles), empower the use of your available data with your colleagues and clients. On-Premises or as a SAAS solution, VisionLidar 365 allows you to manage, store and share terabytes of data through a simple web browser or portable devices.

About the Author

A recognized LiDAR specialist, Joel Larose designed and deployed a web-based cartographic distribution system integrating 3D point clouds from LiDAR surveys, enabling measurements and annotations directly within the virtual scene. He also developed a 3D spatial data warehouse under PostgreSQL-PostGIS for storing objects extracted from point clouds through automatic, semi-automatic, and manual digitization workflows.

His expertise also encompasses land management, infrastructure location, cadastral operations, GPS and robotic surveys, photogrammetry, GIS, web architectures, and relational databases. He is proficient in the ESRI suite (ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online), AutoCAD Map, MicroStation, FME, as well as .NET (C#) and SQL.

An experienced trainer for government, municipal, and private teams, Joël Larose combines professional rigour, technical leadership, and strategic vision to advance the applications of LiDAR and 3D geomatics in addressing today’s land-use challenges.
